In short: we install and service domestic hot water systems using solar thermal — collectors, thermosiphons, storage cylinders and their circuit — and heat pumps (air-to-water units and heat pump water heaters), in homes, communities, hotels and new builds in Málaga. We also repair existing solar thermal systems.
Solar hot water
- Thermosiphon: collector and tank together on the roof, no pumps; simple and very effective in Málaga's climate.
- Pumped systems: roof collectors and an indoor cylinder, with pump set and controller; for larger homes, communities and hotels.
- Repair and overhaul of existing systems: leaks, expansion vessels, air vents, pumps, controllers and collectors.
Heat pumps
A heat pump takes energy from the air to heat water: for every kWh of electricity it delivers several of heat. We install heat pump water heaters (replacing electric or gas heaters) and heat pumps for hot water and heating with radiators or underfloor heating. They pair very well with solar PV.
New builds: building code (HE4)
In new builds and major refurbishments, Spain's building code (HE4) requires part of the hot water to come from renewables. For builders and developers we cover it with solar thermal or heat pumps, coordinated with the plumbing and electrics on site.
